More 'Green' Activities Alcom advances our efforts to embrace sound environmental practices by obtaining FSC Chain of Custody Certification. The Forest Stewardship Council chain-of-custody is a mechanism that makes it possible to verify, via traceability, that the wood used in the production of pulp comes from forests that are managed according to sustainability criteria. This criterion includes, but is not limited to harm to wildlife, protection of old timber, displacement of indigenous peoples, water pollution and soil erosion. |
